This three-story Queen Anne style house was designed by architect, John James Huddart, and built in 1890. Neighborhood lore suggests the original owner had a tunnel running under Humboldt Street to a dairy barn. During Prohibition, the tunnel was said to be used for hiding liquor. The house is located at 2707 Humboldt.
